思俊的父亲在思俊十岁的时候调去新疆工作，父子异地生活至今已有二十aaa。思俊每年都会去新疆选玉，父亲今年即将退休，他希望和儿子一起完成一趟寻玉之旅，既是想了解儿子所做的事业，也为自己完成和新疆的告别......这是二十年来鲜有的父子相聚时光，他们驾车沿古老的“玉石之路”一路向西，从库尔勒出发，沿途经若羌、且末、和田三地，深入戈壁，踏足阿尔金山，行走在玉龙喀什河河床。他们一路遇到形形色色的人——有朴实的捡玉农民，有圆滑的玉石商人，有放弃公职的“赌石”大户，也有历经风雨变迁的“富二代”。所有人都被裹挟在玉石圈子里，面对市场价格飞跃式的上涨，面对日益枯竭的自然资源，他们的喜怒哀乐随石而生，却在可见的未来里寻找别处安放，他们历经过惊涛骇浪，而在今天不知何去何从。亿万年前的大海升起月光般的璞玉，为世人流传千百段名篇佳话。几千年前古人在月光下寻玉，如今，留下的只有沙扬的戈壁，肃静的群山和疮痍的河床，月光所照之处已罕见“明亮”的美玉。“明月何时照我还？”脚下的道路一直向前，回望的历史终将化为记忆。在这段旅程中，思俊父子间被冷藏多年的情感也渐渐清晰起来......
