高校2年生の黒瀬令児（荒木飛羽）は、町や家族に縛られながら“ただ”生きていた。 認知症の祖母と、その介護に追われる母親、引きこもりの兄との窮屈な4人暮らし。5年前に家を出て行ったという父親は、行方不明だ。そんな状況下で、将来の夢も特にない。町を出たいという気持ちはあるが、少しでも母親を楽にさせるため、大学には進学せず、就職を希望していた。 ただ、漠然と日々を過ごしていた時、運命の出会いを果たす―。憧れのアイドル・青江ナギが、町にいた。そして、ナギに持ち掛けられたのは“心中”だった…。 生きることに希望はあるのか。この先に「光」はあるのか。そんな令児を取り巻くのは、町を出ると約束した幼馴染、執拗につきまとう教師、息子を縛る母親、そして、かつての親友。絶望の淵に漂う少年のスーサイドラブストーリー、開幕―。
